School Council

The School Council is made up of the House Captains and representatives from all the classes.  They meet approximately once every half term to discuss issues concerning the children.  They decide which charities the children will support during the year and which fund-raising activities and projects they will undertake.

The children in the school, led by the School Council, came up with designs for a Sensory Totem Garden at the Junior end of the school and the ideas were put together to form a final plan which is attached.  The garden has now been built and planted.

Congratulations to the members of our new School Council!

Each year, we celebrate Fairtrade fortnight by engaging in a variety of activites to develop our knowledge and awareness of the cause.

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, the pupils submitted tried and tested family recipes which were adapted to incorporate at least one Fairtrade ingredient.  Mrs Knock compiled the entries into one book.

Congratulations to Olivia Rose who was our worthy winner of the competition to design the front cover of the book.

Happy Fairtrade cooking!
