Pupil Premium 2023-2024

Background

The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings. It also includes children who have been looked after by the local authority for at least one night. From April 2012, this also included pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure).

Pupil Premium funding is also used to support children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces.

The Pupil Premium grant is allocated to academies for two separate objectives:

raising the educational attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities to help them reach their potential
providing support for children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces

Our School

Funding for Tatsfield Primary School in 2023-2024 is £29,100.

Next Steps

We are still experiencing the after effects of the Covid 19 pandemic, and it is priority that disadvantaged pupils catch up in their learning. At Tatsfield, we identify potential barriers to pupils’ learning so that we can ensure that every child makes progress and is successful at school – academically, socially and emotionally.

To support children eligible for Pupil Premium funding this year, we will continue to provide targeted interventions and teaching and learning support groups. Some funding will continue to be targeted at social skills groups, emotional and wellbeing support and behaviour support.

We support every child in our school to provide the best possible education for them, and make every effort to ensure that no child is disadvantaged by their circumstances.
