Our Assemblies
Assembly is part of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Assemblies take place every day and one of our core school values forms the basis of our assemblies each week. We talk about local, national and international events and celebrate pupils' efforts and achievements both in and out of school. We begin and finish each assembly with our 'Music of the Week' - learning about a range of musical genres, composers and performers.
Our pupils lead assemblies as well as our class teachers. This may be our House Captains leading House Assemblies, Junior Leaders giving feedback about school projects or Class Learning Assemblies. Pupil participation in school assemblies enables pupils to develop confidence with public speaking as well as enhancing their personal development growth.
Assemblies are an important part of our school community life, so we hope that all pupils participate. If any parents or carers wish to withdraw their child(ren) from all or part of our assemblies, they should contact Mrs Jewitt.
