At Tatsfield Primary School, we believe that every child should be able to access a rich, ambitious, well-sequenced curriculum that enables them to thrive, whatever their starting point.  We want every child to love learning, feel confident and reach their full potential in a caring and inclusive environment.  Positive relationships and a sense of belonging, alongside the curriculum, are vital to ensuring pupil success.   

Our curriculum is based on a Learning Journey Framework, underpinned by Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction.  We have developed a High Quality Teaching approach to embed Rosenshine’s Principles into our teaching across the curriculum.  Our curriculum focuses on knowledge, skills and vocabulary to ensure pupils commit learning to their long-term memory and develop skills to equip them for the next stage in their education and life in the 21st century.  We plan for learning activities and opportunities to have a sense of purpose to support and strengthen the whole school curriculum and values.
