Admission to Tatsfield School lies within the SCC Admissions’ Policy framework.
Consultation to admission arrangements for entry from September 2027
The Local Governing Committee (LGC) of Tatsfield Primary school are proposing to make changes to the school’s admission arrangements for entry in September 2027. The LGC are seeking feedback in respect of the proposed changes in line with the Admissions Code of Practice 2021.

The consultation period will open on Monday 15th December 2025 and will end on Saturday 31st January 2026. If you would like to comment on this consultation, you must submit your response during this period. Written feedback about the consultation can be sent:

Reception Class - September 2026 entry
For Surrey Reception Class admissions for September 2026, the closing date for applications is 15th January 2026.
Appeals resulting from year of entry for admission in September 2026 will be heard according to the following timetable:

NB: Appeals will not start being heard until after the relevant closing date has passed.
Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.
Appeals are not heard in school holidays, which will vary depending on the school.
Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing. Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case normally a week in advance of the hearing.
Appellants must ensure that any further evidence not included with their initial appeal is received by the stated deadline, which will be clearly highlighted in the appeal hearing notification letter. Any additional evidence or information received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing.

Requests for in-year admissions are dealt with by the school and must be made on the In Year Admissions form which can be downloaded below. All applications will be dealt with as soon as possible and within 10 working days of the application being received. If places are not available for the requested year group applicants will be informed along with information regarding rights of appeal.
In-Year or immediate entry appeals
Appeals resulting from in year admission applications will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.

As a former Surrey Local Authority (LA) Community School, Tatsfield Primary School’s admission arrangements fall within the current LA policy. The LA administers admissions for the new Year R (Reception Year) intake.
The school’s Published Admission Number (PAN) is 30 for each year group, from Reception to Year 6.
